BALOO Training - Rancho Jurupa

Pack 2017 and Troop 2017G will be providing a BALOO and IOLS training program for registered adult leaders at the April 2024 Rancho Jurupa Campout, taking place from April 19th through the 21st.

BALOO offers insightful information and practices to help adult leaders provide an exceptional outdoor program.
This training is also a requirement to achieve the fully-trained status as an adult leader within the Cub Scout program.

BALOO helps leaders learn the regulations and fundamental skills related to many outdoor components of the Scouting program including,

Basic land navigation and orienteering
Outdoor gear selection
Hiking and Nature information
Campfire safety and Program planning
Campsite selection and Safety
Outdoor ethics
Cooking and Sanitation
Basic first aid
Practical knife safety for Cub Scouts
Basic knot skills for Cub Scouts
and more!
