Whale Watching - February 22, 2025
Come join Pack 2017 for an exciting afternoon of whale watching!
All scouts and family are welcome to register to participate. We will be departing from Newport Beach at 12PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025. We will have an onboard Marine Science Naturalist on our trip to bring aboard real artifacts and speak with the Scouts one on one during the cruise to enrich their experience.
Limited space available, activity will be marked as sold out once no more spacers remain.
Duration of the trip run 2 hours long, however, the captain will allot an extra 30 minutes as a buffer if necessary. This depends on what wildlife we are seeing, how far out we traveled for the trip, etc. Please prepare for 2 – 2.5 hours out on the water.
If you think you may become seasick, please purchase motion sickness relief prior to the event. Dramamine / Bonine should be taken between thirty minutes to one hour prior to the boat ride.
What to Wear Recommendations
• Closed toed shoes
• Water bottle and a snack
• Sun protection, such as sunscreen and a hat
• Weather appropriate clothing.
• Camera (recommended)
• Cash if you’d want to purchase light snacks or drinks from the galley
More details will be provided via email as we approach our excursion.
For families with multiple registrations, please make sure to use separate Submissions when adding to the shopping cart, as each will require you to enter the child’s information. Please do not use the Quantity function as we will have to provide a passenger manifest.
If you would like to use your child’s available Scout Account Balance, please reach out to our Treasurer, Nick, or Cub Master, Danica.
